I am going to step away from SGU for the moment. But I must say what an awesome season to be a sci-fi geek ( i refuse to conform to the channel’s changing of the spelling.) Not only a new series of Stargate, but the return of Sanctuary. And now ‘V’ is coming back with a fresh remake. Now some of you young ones out there might not remember the original series back in the 80’s but is was the greatest thing ever created. Cheesy, absolutely, but it was the rage! But I am not here to write about the upcoming ‘V’ I will follow up on that later. I am here to write about what was lost on Sanctuary.
If you didn’t see the episode I am going to ruin it for you. They killed Ashley! She teleported through the em field and it scattered her molecules. And if that is not bad enough it looks like they are going to replace her with the mercenarie character that was working for the Kabal. Man I really liked the character of Ashley and what it brough to the story line. I openly admit I am not taking by the new character and don’t think that she can act nearly as well as the actress who played Ashley. Sci-Fi writers I hope that you are not making the mistake that Stargate Atlantis made and kill a good show with bad writing. To the writers of Sanctuary you have kicked off with a huge start on this season! Kudos! Learn from the past and don’t go changing to much of what works. We watched it for the first season and brought it back for the second, and hopefully more so don’t go tankin’ it now that you have us hooked!
